Day Two

Hooray!! It’s Easter Sunday and the chocolate is flowing.
Apologies to all the religous types out there who haven’t managed to lose sight of what Easter is really about. Personally, I wasn’t raised in a religious household so Easter has always meant chocolate to me.
So what’s the plan today? I have a few hours where I can really try and focus on making extra money. Maybe today is good time to assess what I have and don’t have at my disposal.
Things I don’t have…
- I don’t have a product to sell.
- I don’t have a decent budget for things like advertising.
- I don’t have any opt-in list at all.
- I don’t have a commercial website.
What I do have…
- A huge amount of ebooks telling me how to make money.
- A yearly subscription to Wordtracker
- A subscription to CBEngine.
- SEO Elite (rubbish - don’t know why it’s raved about so much)
So there you go. I don’t really have a lot to work with.
And my mind has gone blank.
I’m tempted to do what I’ve always done… you know, check out the hottest products on cbengine - check out the best KEI search terms for that product and then run a small ppc campaign. But it hasn’t worked for me so far, why would it now? But what other option do I have open to me?
I think I will do that again, just to give a kind of ‘live’ demonstration of how I use this stuff. Maybe somebody out there will tell me what I’m doing wrong.
I’m afraid I won’t be sharing the detailed information of my new ppc campaign, just in case miracles do happen and I start making some money from it. But I will give updates in this journal to show how it’s going.
More later…
4.05pm
Just about to go out for a meal with some friends. Quick recap on what I’ve done today.
Well, I did some research on CBEngine and found what looks like a good product to promote. Did some extensive keyword research on the subject matter and I’m ready to start my latest (and hopefully greatest) adwords campaign.
And then I got sidetracked by CBEngine when I noticed that they have a storefront plugin. So I spent some time trying to implement that (see tab on navigation bar). Then had a shower and got ready. Quickly checked mybloglog.com and sent a few messages and looked at a few blogs. Then realised that I hadn’t actually started my adwords campaign! D’oh!
Quite pleased that I got this store thing up and running. Don’t know if it will help but it’s worth a try.
Oh, I also created a graph of some sort on the Profit Meter page. It currently shows that in March I made a grand total of $3.00 (from adsense). That was quite a bumper month for me. I’ll update it at the end of each month.
Well that’s it for today. Have to admit I’m enjoying being part of the blogging community. Seem like a nice bunch.
Until tomorrow…
